Information & Discussion Lists At Yahoo

ISOOG lists
Three information and discussion lists are organized by ISOGG at Yahoo. ISOGG stands for the International Society for Genealogical Genealogy whose website can be found at
http://www.isogg.org/

The first one is the official list of the Society to which you can enroll by going to their website mentioned above.

Two other lists have a more regional scope. Their role is to inform members of GG events in specific regions. These can also serve for discussions but their essential role is to distribute information. For the moment they are not active but they may become active if a critical number of members agree to join.

FRANCE_ISOGG is for members of France metro, Roman Switzerland and Wallonia (Francophone Belgium). To join, go to h

QC_ISOGG is destined to the francophone community of GG of North-America. To enroll, go to

You are thus invited to join and to use these forums to ask your questions concerning DNA testing, including interpretation of results.
The advantage of using such lists is that answers are archived and other members or visitors with similar questions can profit from this accumulated knowledge. Moreover, specific requests can be posted regarding genealogy when DNA testing is or can be used to answer them.

You are all welcome !
